Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser, for example to keep you signed in or to recognise you on your next visit. Similar technologies, like local storage, work the same way.

None. This website sets no cookies and uses no local storage or similar technologies. Our fonts are delivered from our own server, and we embed no videos, maps or social media widgets that could set cookies of their own.

Your language choice is part of the address (/de for German), so we do not need a cookie to remember it.

To know how many people visit which page, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It works without cookies: a visitor is recognised only by a hash computed from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. It builds no profiles and does not follow you across other websites.

Each website that runs on Metal is operated by the business behind it and has its own cookie notice. On those websites, Metal sets only the cookies they need to work:

• a session cookie when you sign in, for example to register for an event;
• a cookie remembering your answer to the cookie banner;
• the cookies of the payment provider (Stripe) during checkout.

Analytics or marketing cookies, such as Google Analytics, are set only if the website's operator has turned them on and only after you agree in the cookie banner.

If we ever add something that needs cookies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
